How to fix Sony’s ‘game-breaking’ PS4 console
As Sony continues to face backlash for the PS4’s “game-breaker” feature, a new report claims the company’s engineers are trying to get the feature back on the console.
The Wall Street Journal says that PlayStation engineers are “looking into how to bring the feature to the next generation of consoles.”
The report claims that the feature is “a key component” in Sony’s PS4 lineup.
The feature is designed to prevent players from connecting to the Internet without the console’s console’s Wi-Fi.
It was originally added to the PS3 and 4.
Sony has also made several other changes to the PlayStation hardware in recent years, including a redesigned PlayStation 4 Pro, an improved PlayStation VR headset, and the introduction of a new wireless charging standard.
