How to get rid of your old Xbox 360 console
The Xbox 360, the company’s most famous and popular gaming console, was discontinued in 2008 and has been the subject of endless nostalgia, but now, it looks like the company is trying to put a new spin on its legacy.
The Smithsonian National Museum of American History is hosting a contest on Thursday for people to come up with new ways to retrofit their consoles for the next century.
“It’s an opportunity to show that the games you love can be played on any hardware,” museum curator Elizabeth Eiseman told the Washington Post.
“That there are plenty of ways to enjoy these iconic games and their amazing experiences.”
You can submit your idea for a game console here.
The winner will be chosen by a panel of museum staff.
The winning idea will be showcased at the museum’s “Game Console Museum,” a place where the history of video games and the history and culture of the consoles that came before them are discussed and discussed again.
The museum will host its own contest on March 24 to find the “best” way to retrofitting a console.
