Sega to release new Sega 3DS game console in Japan
Sega will launch a new console for its 3DS gaming platform in Japan, a Sega representative has announced.
The Sega Game Console will launch in July in Japan and will sell for about 500,000 yen ($5.90), the company said.
The new console will be released in conjunction with the upcoming Japanese summer holiday.
Sega plans to release the new console in the next three to four months.
“The Sega game console will launch on July 30,” Sega’s president Toshihiro Nakagawa said in a statement.
“It will retail for 500,001 yen ($7.80) and include the new Seeso 3DS system.
Sega had launched its new Seas console in September. “
This new console is a new model of Sega system, and it will be the first time in a long time that we will be making a new product.”
Sega had launched its new Seas console in September.
The company had been promoting the console as an entry point for new users to the company’s portable 3DS games.
“We are excited to announce that the Seesos new console, which will be launched in Japan in July, will be sold by Seas,” Nakagami said.
“Seas will be responsible for packaging and shipping the Seas 3DS console to customers.”
The company said the console will include a new controller, which is currently the only controller on the market for the handheld gaming device.
It also said that Sega expects to sell about 5,000 units of the new consoles by the end of this year.
The Seesa 3DS will run on Seas hardware, which includes an 8-core CPU and a 128-bit GDDR5 memory.
The console will also support up to 64 players, but the company did not specify which games it will support.
